Dear Mr Hubbard. There are occasions when an e-mail is not good enough and only a handwritten letter will suffice. I want to thank you for your interest, help and kindness in sorting out my desk and new skiver. I disturbed you over the Bank Holiday weekend and then again yesterday. The problems are all of my own making, due to my inexperience and incompetence. I only wish there were more people as patient and willing to help and advise as you. Your genuine interest and decency is a wonderful and all too rare an experience and whatever the outcome of my desk skiver adventure, I will always remember your kindness.

With my grateful thanks and best wishes. Dr R Bond, Cheltenham.

Hi John. Just a brief thank you for the beautifully crafted Desk Leather you have made for me. It has turned my rather plain desk from the ordinary to extraordinary. Also arrived astonishingly quickly in New Zealand. Thank you from a delighted customer.

Sherryll Worthington. South Island N Z.

Hi John, this is the best quality skiver I've ever had, thanks. The video was also helpful, much easier than the way I normally put it in.

All the best, Stephen Williams, Germany

Dear John. Just received new leather. Thank you so much for the swift service. I cannot tell you how grateful I am. It looks fantastic, figure on leather looks almost like crocodile skin, the tooling is great. I'll send you a pic once they are all fitted!

Kind regards, Alex Miller, London

Hi John. Looks great! Thanks for your help, the video was very useful. I found that 3 pieces of adhesive tape in line with the uncut edge with pencil strike marks helped a lot in positioning.

Regards Mike Cubitt, Ross-shire, Scotland

Hi John. The leather arrived safely this week. Thanks for sending it so quickly! Am looking forward to fitting it. Best wishes.

Robert Woolley, Thames Ditton Surrey.

Dear John, I had meant to email you to say that we received the leather top a couple of weeks ago and it looks amazing. My husband has been away but will be home soon and we look forward to putting it on together. Thank you for your workmanship. In appreciation,

Margaret and Sada Illmann, Perth, West Australia.

Good morning John. The leather has just arrived and looks great, thanks for getting it done and out so fast. Enjoy your break. Kind regards,

Glyn Jones Restoration. Yarnton, Oxfordshire.

Hello John. Many thanks for the excellent skiver, which I've just laid down. It looks great - makes a very ordinary desk look resplendent. Good that you managed to avoid a join, too. Best wishes,

David Russel Hulme, Ceredigion, Wales.

John. Table top arrived home safely and it looks perfect. Thank you again John, and Paul who did a great job. Regards and best wishes,

Dear Sirs. Just a short note to say thanks for an excellent service and product. I shall use your services again and will recommend you to others. Kind regards,

Byron Roberts, Carmarthenshire, Wales.

Dear John, I just wanted to say how delighted I am with the desk. The skiver is, as you advised, perfect both in colour and texture. Thank you so very much for going to the trouble of replicating the design around the edge. It was my father's desk and to have it restored to its former glory is not only aesthetically pleasing but is of significant sentimental value to me as well. I particularly appreciated being able to speak to you personally and feel that the individual advice and information you provided was not only helpful but gave me confidence that I was making the right selection. Thank you for providing such high quality service. I can recommend your company without any hesitation. With all good wishes. Yours sincerely,

Candace Yaworsky, Amersham, Bucks

Hi John. Thank you for the Desk Skivers as supplied. They fit perfectly and were quite easy to fit. Kind Regards,

Francois. Olive Services, London.

Hello there, Desk leathers arrived safe and sound today (March 25) in Lumberton. They are beautifully done. I'll let you know how they go on; thanks for the instructions, too. Best to you in the UK. Have a grand week. Happy Easter.

Joe Meredith, Lumberton, USA.

Hi John. Perfect! I'm really pleased with it - it is so close to the original as I remember it and the third line of tooling looks great and nicely balanced. So, many thanks indeed, not least for the speed with which you did it. Kind regards.

Colette Goodman, Stroud, Gloucestershire.

John, The skivers for my desk have arrived and they look perfect. In the next few days I will fit them. Thank you for a good quality job.

Gary Hamelin, Maine, USA.

John. Many thanks for the skivers delivered yesterday, a brilliant service. Your choice in the alternative for the pattern of the smaller skiver is spot on;- it looks great. The larger skiver is for a Davenport Desk, which needs a lot of work before I fit the skiver. Hope to do more business with you. Thanks again.

Al Hinde, Ormskirk, Lancs.
